Q:
Do I need to be a current member or sign up to the 30 membership
to design my own paint scheme?
A: No, this is not related to our 30 day membership
to the paint scheme library. You don't need to sign up!
Q:
How hard is it to design my own paint scheme?
A: It's not difficult but you must have basic
computer skills and be willing to put several hours into learning
the Mayura Draw software and how to work with our line drawing.
You will need to read the Mayura help files and experiment with
all the tools in order to achieve your desired results. It's fun
but will take several hours or more.
Q:
Are there any design limitation using Mayura Draw?
A: Mayura Draw is a basic vector drawing program.
It does not compare to the high end drawing packages (Adobe Illustrator
or Corel Draw costing $300 - $600). The primary limitation we
found is it's limited ability to manipulate text. When working
with your aircraft registration numbers (N#'s), you are limited
to text size, font & color. You will not have to option to
dictate the text outline which we found did not allow us to apply
common N# styles.
Q:
Can I save the paint schemes I design?
A: Yes, you can save your paint schemes directly
to your hard drive and open them again at any time.
Q:
Will I be able to print my paint schemes in color?
A: Yes, Mayura Draw supports both postscript
and non postscript color printers.
Q:
Can I use Mayura Draw to open paint schemes I find on the AircraftPaintSchemes.com
web site and change the design and or colors?
A: No, not at this time but we are looking into
this option.
Q:
Do I have to purchase my aircraft line drawing from AircraftPaintSchemes.com?
A: No, if you have advanced skills you can draw
your own or acquire your line drawing from some other source.
We do not provide any information regarding drawing your own line
drawing or how or where to acquire it from another source.
Q:
What if I can't find the line drawing for my aircraft within the
AircraftPaintScheme.com Line Drawing Library?
A: Let us now by sending us and email
and we will do our best to find it and make it available. If you
have the hard copy, you can send it to us and we will redraw it
and give it back to you free.
